My first and foremost activity is playing jazz guitar. After I had a classical guitar training, I started with my first jazz band when I was 16. At that time I lived in Breda, “the hottest place in the south” in the Netherlands, famous for the well known Breda Jazz Festival. Since then I have played in a number of different bands with varying styles: dixieland, hot-dance music, swing, bossa-nova and pop music. The music that I like the most is swing, ranging from trio’s (Nat King Cole), small combo’s (Benny Goodman sextet) to Big Bands (Count Basie). Some milestones:

• 17 day tour with the Zeppos Big Band through Thailand
• Appearance on the Reno Jazz Festival with “Boswell Sisters”-vocal trio De Nootenkraaksters
• Appearance on the Palm Springs Jazz Festival with the JoJo Swingband
• Guest guitarist on the 50th anniversary CD of the Dutch Swing College Band
• Appearance on more than 24 CD’s with different bands
• Live nationwide radio performances with the KaKa’s and the JoJo Swingband
• Live recorded television-performance with the Beau Hunks
• Performances with many great musicians
• Per 2020 member of the Dutch Swing College Band
• January 2024: DSCB performances on Cuba jazzfestival in Havana
• October 2024: DSCB performances at Kobe Jazzfestival and concerts in Tokyo, Japan
• October 2025: 18-day DSCB trip to Kobe Jazzfestival, Japan and JZ Festival Shanghai, China
• May 2026: Six concerts with 6 different bands at the Breda Jazz Festival, the Netherlands
