Francesco Cremona

While looking for a backup acoustic archtop with a solid carved top that could temporarily substitute for my Gibson L-12 I tried a the Loar LH-600 and an Eastman AR810 CE but then I came across this Francesco.

This guitar has been designed by Frans Elferink and has been built by Eastman in China like an AR 810CE with solid spruce handcarved top, maple back, sides and neck, ebony fingerboard, but with f-holes designed by Frans, with a handwound Kent Armstrong pickup, Gotoh tuners and tone and volume controls under the pickguard. So actually it is an upgraded AR810 CE.

With a set of 13-56 strings it has a loud and balanced acoustic voice, while the Armstrong pickup generates a lovely warm electric sound. Check out the sound samples.
